Ever since Becky penned her first story about a pet rock from outer space in the first grade, she knew she wanted to be a writer. Now living the dream as the on-site storyteller and scribe for Curve Detroit, Becky is the go-to-gal for headlines, copy and all things needing proper punctuation.

The copy Becky creates is as varied as Curve's impressive roster of clients. Embracing and understanding the brands she works with allows Becky to give each client a distinct voice. She keeps her skills sharp writing in a range of styles and mediums, from print and environmental to web and broadcast. You can often find her up to her eyeballs in research, making herself an expert on her current writing subject and earning her the title of Curve's "phone a friend."

Before earning her copywriting badge, Becky was a contributing writer for Real Detroit Weekly, covering local events, food, art and music. She learned her craft at Eastern Michigan University, earning a Bachelors degree in Literature and Creative Writing and a Masters of Arts in Written Communications.

Aside from her writing duties, Becky provides in-house dance tutorials and is a bottomless pit of snarky one-liners. All Curvies agree, the studio hasn't been the same (or quiet) since Hurvitz joined their wolf pack. When she's not sculpting the perfect sentence, Becky enjoys outdoor activities, filling up her passport, hunting for the perfect snack and the occasional Zumba class.
